Under the COPRO.EXE mark, the installation of the sealing layer and the protective layer in cast asphalt is certified. A qualitative execution means an extension of the life span of the bridge.
Requirements
The requirements for a good execution have been defined in PTV 8001-1 and PTV 8001-2.
Applications
Waterproof coverings are often used to make bridge decks waterproof. A protective layer of mastic asphalt is often placed on top of the waterproofing.
Waterproof coverings can be made in mastic asphalt, with resins or by means of membranes.
Prospects
In 2021, the certification regulations were further developed and ratified by COPRO's Board of Directors.
This implementation certification was subsequently started in early 2022. A lot of information was shared during an online info session on 18/01/2022.
During 2023, a new application to obtain the execution certificate was submitted.
In the course of 2024, we expect another 1 or more applications and inspections will be carried out in the hope of awarding the COPRO.EXE certificate to 1 or more executors.
